Catherine ElandCatherine Eland

Initially training as Radiographer at The Royal United Hospital in Bath, Catherine graduated in 1991 and went on to become a diagnostic Radiographer DCR (R). She then gained the higher certification in the Fundamentals of Mammography, and has
worked as a Senior Radiographer and Mammographer at the Lancashire breast Unit based in Chorley since 2007.

Catherine is a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist (HPD) and Hypnotherapy Supervisor. She runs flourishing Hypnotherapy practices in both Southport, Merseyside and Chorley Lancashire. Working as a therapist “helping people, help themselves” she finds both therapeutic and rewarding.

Catherine’s business knowledge developed from her 15 years experience working in the Motor Industry. She was trained initially in Sales and Marketing, fast tracked through all dealership departments to eventually become a Dealer Principal, working for Peugeot, Southport and latterly for the Volvo Dealership in Plymouth. She regards her time spent in this extremely challenging retail environment as vital, as it allowed her to achieve her full potential. She feels it gave her the skills and experience necessary to move forward in her life.

Her interest in hypnotherapy grew out of her observations of the way individuals faced with similar problems coped with trauma and stress. She was amazed when one of her colleagues attended hypnotherapy sessions for anxiety, the difference it made was a powerful indicator for Catherine. This was the catalyst that prompted her decision to train as a Hypnotherapist.

Still working as a Mammographer she decided to attend the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School. She chose CPHT, as the school teaches Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. This therapy is based on researched neuroscientific programmes that said, the more enjoyable the therapy is, the more likely it is to be successful.

The CPHT course syllabus and philosophy is solidly based on the experience and expertise of its founder David Newton. It facilitates results, encourages new strengths, and qualifies the case for transformation, not only for its clients.

CPHT teaches what works and practices what works, a philosophy that allows happy hypnotherapists help clients to become more confident and successful and overcome or cope with problems.

She is now part of the  CPHT Leeds Team, she will be training students who like her, want to and will, make a difference. Her continued personal diligence and outward looking persona ensure her clients and students alike benefit from any and all new research and evidenced based changes.

She now lives in sunny Southport, Merseyside, is a real foodie and her golf is still an on-going project despite all her best efforts

Jenny MellenchipJenny Mellenchip
DSFH, HPD, SFH Sup(Hyp), MNCH(Acc), MAfSFH, NLP and licensed trainer of NLP

Jenny worked in publishing within a sales and marketing context for over 25 years. Initially she worked as a sales person, then as sales manager and trainer. Jenny loved her time as a trainer and manager. It allowed her to hone her coaching and motivational skills. Ultimately she took on the role of operations manager.  This allowed her to use her knowledge to grow and develop the company she worked for. This same knowledge would go on to help in her hypnotherapy business.

In 2003, Jenny decided to train in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with one of the founders of NLP, Richard Bandler. In the same year, she went on to qualify as a Licensed Training Specialist of NLP.  Jenny soon included these new skills in her training and coaching sessions. Jenny quickly became aware that NLP alone was not enough to bring about the many changes people desired. She believed that people needed more support to bring about these changes, so she decided to train as a hypnotherapist.

Jenny wanted to find a hypnotherapy school which suited her logical and positive nature. She was thrilled to be accepted to train with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training(CPHT). CPHT offers delegates the opportunity to qualify for the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD). This is classed by many to be the “gold standard” in Hypnotherapy training. Jenny found that this course was ideal for people planning to change career. It certainly gave her the skills and confidence to start practicing as a hypnotherapist straight away.

Jenny is a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist (HPD) and Hypnotherapy Supervisor SFH Sup(Hyp). She is now studying for the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma(AHD). This course has been assessed at a level 5 by NCFE. Right now, this is the highest level of qualification available for hypnotherapists. It is only available to qualified hypnotherapist through CPHT Bristol. Jenny is committed to continually improving her skills & knowledge. She has attended many such development courses to date.

Jenny says “I will always be grateful to CPHT. It has given me the life that I have always dreamed about. A life that allows me to help others while giving me time to spend with my family. I am excited about being able to offer others this same opportunity.   I am passionate about enabling people to achieve their goals.”

Jenny lives in Staffordshire with her husband Stuart. She enjoys spending time with her four children and their families. She is an avid reader and loves passing on what she’s learnt to others. Jenny has a busy full time hypnotherapy & psychotherapy practice. She maintains around 40 ‘live’ clients on her books at any time. Her clinics are based in Northwich, Cheshire and Stafford, Staffordshire.

Jenny loves being a part of the CPHT Leeds hypnotherapy training team. She enjoys helping others to develop into confident, successful hypnotherapists with the ability to help people get their lives back on track.
